Monday we said that our TPM Number One, DAYLIGHT from Maroon 5, "now officially tops both of our main component formats." But that was a short situation. Now, our runner-up and certain next TPM topper -- Bruno Mars' WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN -- has already passed DAYLIGHT at Top 40 Radio. The only reason DAYLIGHT has a Daily Dozen advantage of 1764 total plays today (down from yesterday's 1983) is the differential at our Hot Adult component. And, yes, it's all but certain that WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN will take over Number One at Total Popular Music before this week is over! By the way, Bruno's latest TPM SuperHit today passes 19,000 ... Today, MAN is down to 2324 total plays behind DAYLIGHT, and still averaging daily gains of 400-500. A week ago today, Bruno was 4136 behind Adam Levine and company ... Up 7-5 this week, Justin Timberlake's SUIT AND TIE remains one of the three strongest gainers in the Dozen, adding 1879 plays for the week ...
