Maroon 5's DAYLIGHT begins its first full week at Number One on the new Total Popular Music Super Sixty, for the week of March 17, 2013 -- now online at TotalPopularMusic.com. DAYLIGHT, adding 1279 total plays from a week ago (our seventh greatest of 18 Greatest Gainers), first took over the TPM top spot this past Wednesday (as seen on the March 13 Daily Dozen), ending the six-week reign of Taylor Swift's I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, which is now rapidly losing total plays as Taylor's 22 races up the Sixty (49-33), +1974 plays, our fourth greatest of this week's gainers ... We wonder if DAYLIGHT's reign at Number One will be a relatively short one. Jumping 7-3, our greatest of the Greatest Gainers adding 2784 total plays, Bruno Mars' WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN is surely the next TPM topper. And if it continues gaining as rapdily as it has so far, it could surpass DAYLIGHT in another two weeks ... The second greatest of this week's gainers is Demi Lovato's HEART ATTACK, +2717, up 33-22, and surely bound for the first decade -- and soon! ... Third of the gainers, +2118, 28-20, is P!nk's JUST GIVE ME A REASON (with Nate Reuss) ... The fifth greatest for airplay gains is Justin Timberlake's SUIT AND TIE, +1652, 12-7. After starting fast, it stalled out for a time, and now is going stronger than ever. (Should Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars be worried?)
The main TPM Super Sixty chart is online at TotalPopularMusic.com, where you'll also find this week's featured new songs, Hitbounds, and the 50-position TPM Recurrents chart. And each song listed -- more than 120 in all -- offers an On Demand link.
The separate "Super Sixty Airplay" chart is available at our main website, and is also published here. A full listing of this week's Greatest Gainers is found below the Super Sixty Airplay chart.
