When Imagine Dragons' RADIOACTIVE took over TPM Number One last Saturday, Robin Thicke's BLURRED LINES was outgaining it by an almost two-to-one margin and appeared certain to overtake RADIOACTIVE within a week. Now, though, the two titles are posting day-to-day airplay gains at a more similar rate (although BLURRED still has an edge). Robin Thicke's first-ever TPM Top 10 SuperHit is still destined for the Total Popular Music top position, but maybe -- just maybe -- Imagine Dragons will first get a second week in the TPM Penthouse. Today, RADIOACTIVE is +197 while BLURRED LINES is +230, and the differential shrinks from 698 to 665 ... Now virtually out of the race for #1, Daft Punk's GET LUCKY, +123, is now just 174 away from a 4-3 advance (which might be its TPM high point) ... Maroon 5's LOVE SOMEBODY, today +175, rises again, this time 8-7. For the week so far it's up 10-7 ...
Up 11-10 yesterday, it looks like Bruno Mars' TREASURE tomorrow will rise 10-9 ... The newest DD entrant -- Jason Derulo's THE OTHER SIDE today posts a +129, but appears unlikely to advance above #12 this week ...
