Monday's TPM Hit Music Daily Dozen (May 6, 2013)

Chart Chat TPM Number One JUST GIVE ME A REASON/P!nk with Nate Ruess today is just eight away from becoming the first-ever song to reach 22,000 TotalPlaysMonitored on the Total Popular Music TPMusic charts. Today +158 plays from Sunday (across our components), its Monday 21,992 is itself a new record. And, like the overly talkative radio DJ spewed, "It ain't done yet!" ... Justin Timberlake's MIRRORS is setting its own records for airplay SuperGains, today +479, as it continues its quest to advance from number four -- ultimately to TPM Topper ... One day late for the new weekly Super Sixty, Demi Lovato's HEART ATTACK, +201, finally gets its 7-6 rise on Today's Twelve ... Next seeking further upward positional movement is the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis with Ray Dalton CAN'T HOLD US, today +334 -- but still 812 away from an 8-7 move ... Stuck at Nine ("but I don't care") I LOVE IT, Icona Pop's first Total Pop hit, today adds another 244 to its total plays tally to surpass 10,000 for the first time ... and Justin Timberlake's vanishing SUIT AND TIE (as reflected in the mirrors) outloses Olly Murs with Flo Rida (-308 vs -172) to give TROUBLEMAKER a 12-11 rebound today ... The Top 12 Songs of the Day -- EVERY DAY -- from TOTAL Popular Music [For Radio / From Radio / By Radio] ... The Original 21st Century Mass Appeal Hit Music Radio Format -- From Mark Harris Broadcast Consulting -- with "All the Hits for All the Listeners!"

Total Popular Music
Projections Monitor 30

TotalsProjectionsMonitor
Projected: May 12, 2013

The new edition of the "Projections Monitor 30" is now available, projecting the Total Popular Music Top 30 for May 12. Not an "indicator chart" nor a "building chart" -- and definitely not a chart "representing the collective opinion of the publication's editorial board in ranking the current potency of commercial recordings as competitive radio programming attractions for mainstream CHR and hot AC formats" -- the TPM Projections Monitor is scientifically compiled utilizing our exclusive TotalsProjectionsMonitor -- using current airplay data and trending stats while acknowledging that trending may change during the ensuing week.

The "Projections Monitor 30" is published Sunday nights, to be available for Monday mornings. This listing from Mark Harris Broadcast Consulting is both a projection of what the Top 30 on the next week's Super Sixty might look like, and a programming guide for the coming week for radio stations airing the Total Popular Music radio format to be proactive rather than reactive in scheduling music rotations.
