With a day to go to the new weekly Super Sixty, there's no doubt that JUST GIVE ME A REASON will have another week at TPM Number One. Going back to our latest Projections Monitor published last Sunday night, the question has been whether or not MIRRORS will be the new runner-up come May 19.
MIRRORS has just taken over the top position at CHR-Top40, ending REASON's #1 reign there -- but the Justin Timberlake SuperHit is only #12 at Hot Adult where P!nk/Nate Ruess continue to hold the uppermost position. Today, for Total Popular Music, MIRRORS, +223, is only 111 plays behind current runner-up STAY (Rihanna with Mikky Ekko), -252 -- all but guaranteeing a switcheroo tomorrow! ... Also apparently awaiting a last minute move (5-4), CAN'T HOLD US. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (with Ray Dalton) are just 58 plays away today from ending the chart week up 6-4 overall ... "Stuck at Six" (after a pushback this week), Demi Lovato's HEART ATTACK posts a +148 for total plays, while right behind, Icona Pop's I LOVE IT with Charli XCX shows today's top gain, +224, just edging MIRRORS for biggest gain of the day ... Taylor Swift's "22" is now losing it faster than gaining it -- but nevertheless rises 9-8 today (10-8 for the week), thanks to a hearty -321 for FEEL THIS MOMENT (Pitbull/Christina Aguilera) ... The Top 12 Songs of the Day -- EVERY DAY -- from TOTAL Popular Music - 'The Original 21st Century Mass Appeal Hit Music Radio Format' (Since 2007) - "All the Hits for All the Listeners!"
