Katy Perry's ROAR roars to the top of Total Popular Music -- adding 3780 total plays from a week ago, this week's Top TPM Gainer -- to become the new Number One on the TPM Super Sixty for the week of September 15, 2013, up 4-1. After outgoing TPM Topper BLURRED LINES/Robin Thicke set new records for total plays (at first 22,000 and then 23,000), ROAR sets a new record for the largest single week airplay gain to become the successor ... Our second greatest gainer is Lorde's ROYALS, +2910 total plays, rising 15-12, followed on this week's listing of 18 Top TPM Gainers by Avicii's WAKE ME UP, +1923, 13-11; Lady Gaga's APPLAUSE, +1732, 17-13; Capital Cities' SAFE AND SOUND, +1616, 3-2; and HOLD ON WE'RE GOING HOME/Drake with Majid Jordan, +1539, 27-24. The seventh greatest gainer is this week's TPM Big Breaker at #43, Bruno Mars' GORILLA, adding 1430 total plays (from 0 a week ago) to leap into the new Sixty. Last week's TPM Sureshot, Miley Cyrus' WRECKING BALL, enters at #47, +976 total plays.
