As Katy Perry's ROAR begins a second week at Number One on the Total Popular Music
Super Sixty for the week of September 22, it has already equaled the first total plays record level set by BLURRED LINES, surpassing 22,000 -- and now is on the way to Robin Thicke's all-time record of topping 23,000. ROAR, +2727 plays from last week, is this week's third greatest gainer ... The Top TPM Gainer is this week's Big Breaker from Britney Spears at #33, WORK BITCH, reaching 3037 total plays from zero a week ago ... The second of 18 TPM Gainers, +2756, is Miley Cyrus' WRECKING BALL, which skyrockets 47-26 in its second week ... Three more top gainers also add more than 2,000 plays => Lorde's ROYALS, +2682, jumping 12-5 *** Avicii's WAKE ME UP, +2523, rising 11-6 *** Bruno Mars' GORILLA, +2078, leaping 43-30 ... Also noteworthy are Lady Gaga's APPLAUSE, +1624, 13-10, and Lana Del Rey's SUMMERTIME SADNESS, +1535, 7-4 ... Jason Derulo's MARRY ME makes a strong entrance to the Sixty at #47 from Hitbound last week.
