Having now fully transitioned to our new methodology -- giving more weight to our Hot Adult component (Hot AC/Adult Top 40) with a larger base of monitored radio stations airing that sub-format -- we now can see some post-holidays returning to normalcy, although airplay totals remain somewhat erratic day-to-day. The first two songs on Today's Twelve, both showing losses yesterday, both show gains today. Runner-up, The Lumineers' HO HEY gains more than Number One LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN, and the differential shrinks some, but Bruno Mars with an advantage of +3084 remains secure in the penthouse ... It appears that once again songs that should be losing plays are, and those considered growing titles are again posting daily gains. Among the gainers are P!nk's TRY, Taylor Swift's I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, and Ed Sheeran's THE A TEAM ... Just into the Dozen yesterday, Justin Bieber's BEAUTY AND A BEAT (with Nicki Minaj) posts a nice gain today and is already up one position, 12-11 day-to-day, 13-11 from a week ago ...
