Thursday's TPM Daily Dozen (January 3, 2013)

We begin to see some return to normalcy for airplay totals today, the third and final day of dual Daily Dozen charts -- one each for the outgoing formula and the incoming methodology. We're focusing more on the new version now, with that version set to become our new (and only) offering Friday ... Number One LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN from Bruno Mars and runner-up HO HEY (The Lumineers) both see gains for total plays. LOCKED continues to have a very healthy lead for total plays -- today at 3234 -- for retaining the keys to the penthouse ... Phillip Phillips' HOME and P!nk's TRY also both increase their plays tallies from a day ago .. We're seeing some more positional variations with the new methodology -- which includes more Hot Adult stations, and therefore larger airplay totals from that component. On the new version today Ed Sheeran's THE A TEAM passes Taylor Swift's I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, as both post gains ... Overall, nine of Today's Twelve show gains, only three have losses ...
