About Thursday's Daily Dozen - Dec. 5, 2012

For the second day in a row. there's a new Number One SuperHit at Total Popular Music! As expected, Bruno Mars' LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN passes Ke$ha's DIE YOUNG for TotalPlaysMonitored across our components to oust DIE YOUNG from the penthouse after only one day. Let the historical records show that DIE YOUNG was our #1 song Wednesday, Dec. 5 -- and only for that day! LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN, which has yet to peak at either of our chart-influencing components, is likely to have a much longer run at the top. Only 15 plays behind yesterday, Bruno adds another 327 plays, while Ke$ha adds 136. The result: LOCKED passes DIE YOUNG today by 176 total plays -- 17,690 to 17,514. DIE YOUNG returns to runner-up. Former Number One, ONE MORE NIGHT, down 1-3 yeaterday (as Maroon 5's new DAYLIGHT skyrockets toward the upper zone), holds in the third position today ... At the other end of Today's Twelve, Taylor Swift's WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER loses another 470 total plays, and slips out of the Dozen (11-13), while P!nk's TRY is up 12-11, and Ed Sheeran's THE A TEAM returns to The Top 12 Songs of the Day. We do it every day! From TOTAL Popular Music - 'The NEW Mass Appeal Hit Music Radio Format!'
