Wednesday's Daily Dozen (Dec 26, 2012)

Eight of Today's Twelve show some losses, reflecting "time out" from the hits for holiday programming, or a mix of the usual hits and tinsel tunes. Songs losing total plays for that reason generally show minor losses, while major declines are found for titles already losing it. Bruno Mars' LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN remains locked in to TPM Number One, today 3174 plays ahead of runner-up, and the most immediate potential challenger for the penthouse, The Lumineers' HO HEY, one of the four with a gain ... Rihanna's DIAMONDS had already slowed for total plays gains, and may now be set for true declines, although it's too soon to say for sure ... The second song showing a gain is P!nk's TRY, up today 7-6 ... Also rising, Flo Rida's I CRY, 10-7 ... The third song posting a total plays gain is Taylor Swift's I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, up 12-11 and aiming for 10 or maybe 9 by tomorrow, posting today's only truly major gain ... The other total plays gainer, pushed back 11-12 by TROUBLE, Ed Sheeran's THE A TEAM (which should get it up again soon) ...
