Friday's Daily Dozen (Dec 28, 2012)

After a day when every song but one posted holiday programming related losses, today every song that's still growing sees a gain. TPM Number One Bruno Mars' LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN (re)gains 76 plays total, but is still below its previous high -- and its lead over The Lumineers' runner-up HO HEY again shrinks a bit, although it's still over 3,000 (enough for security in the penthouse for now) ... Rihanna's DIAMONDS, which may be on the verge of true declines, sees a slight day-to-day total plays gain ... Phillip Phillips' HOME, up yesterday 5-4 despite a loss, regains 34 plays today ... Also adding to their tallies are P!nk's TRY and Flo Rida's I CRY, but the Big Gainer remains Taylor Swift's I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE, up this week so far 12-8, and likely to pass I CRY tomorrow for an 8-7 rise ... A day after regaining positionally 12-11, today Ed Sheeran's THE A TEAM jumps 11-9 ahead of declining titles in the bottom three spots of Today's Twelve, the lowest ranked of which is now Ke$ha's DIE YOUNG ... Nevertheless, every song among today's Top 12 Songs of the Day is above 10,000 total plays across our components ... The Daily Dozen, every day, from TOTAL Popular Music - 'The NEW Mass Appeal Hit Music Radio Format!' - A Service of Mark Harris Broadcast Consulting.

Also, this reminder: This week's full "Super Sixy Airplay" chart is available here at Blogger.
